Advantages
It allows the driver to:
- download on his mobile phone the trips planning and the documents (order lines, delivery notes, production batches,…) relevant to each delivery
- take note by himself of the delivery time and distance
- receive the leg coordinates and track the routing followed by the truck in order to automatically obtain timing and distances (GPS version only)
- send an immediate feedback to the customer about the proof of delivery and/or the collection of the goods by means of documents references too

Mobile Delivery
Trip status and proof of delivery real time monitoring by mobile phone
Industries and Logistics Operators (3PL and 4PL) require trip evolution real time monitoring with special care to the proof of delivery in order to better manage the relationship with goods addressee (final customer, logistics platform and distribution warehouse, …) or who is in charge of collection (e.g. supplier, …). As a result we have an easier administrative process, paper work reduction (Delivery note), real trip control (time and km) and easy and quick product traceability.
The Solution
In order to satisfy the above mentioned requirements Gruppo Tesi proposes Mobile Delivery, a real service based on mobile phone and web collaboration.
Why the mobile phone?
Because (differently from palm) it is an economic and wide spread device that can host our application in order to send and collect real time information at very low cost (few cents per Kb).
Why the web?
Because it is the most flexible channel for data exchange with mobile phones sharing on-line applications and information among supply chain actors.
The offered service foresees to:
- receive (integrated with the company ERP) information necessary for trip planning and allocation to shipping agents (e.g. plates, users to be authorized, tracking documents, trip details, customer VAT code, …)
- process and normalize received data
- authorize and configure the involved drivers’ mobile phones
- allocate trips
- receive drivers’ real time confirmation about trip status and /or proof of delivery / collection
- distribute proof to the companies joining the service and/or to goods addressees (on specific demand) directly on the companies ERP or publishing the information on the web.
The solution is offered as a service and allows simplifying the company daily activity management. As a result it further optimizes the trip allocation to the involved shipping agents.
Mobile Delivery can be interfaced with company database and applications, with trips management and planning systems and roads routing optimizers.
