Our history

1995 – After a number of years of independent activity, Giuseppe Pacotto establishes Tesi Srl in Bra with 12 people and some collaborators who became partners in the course of time. Activity is concentrated on the development of applications for the Large Distribution sector, with important customers who will support the growth of Tesi.

1995-2000 – Tesi’s turnover and technical personnel grow, benefiting from certain opportunities in the information technology market connected to the year 2000 and the introduction of the Euro: the customer list grows with prestigious names in the banking sector. Within the same period Tesi directly establishes (or facilitates their development through share participation), a series of small companies dedicated to specific application themes (Starter 2000, Think Quality, Compet-e, NeXtop, Business Space) with which it maintains strong technical and commercial collaboration relationships.

2001-2003 – The technical structure is further consolidated with the setting up of Help Desk support activities for large customers (24 hours a day, 365 days a year), alongside the expansion of the commercial structure with the opening of branches in Turin, Milan, Padua and Rome. The company becomes Tesi SpA and obtains Quality System certification from TüV. Important new names serve to expand the customer portfolio in the Finance and Retail sectors.

2004-2007 – Some of the associate companies are incorporated within the SpA (Public Limited Company) thereby guaranteeing further consolidation of expertise and market image. Personnel numbers increase equally between technical and commercial staff, reaching over 120 units. New products in the areas of logistics and transport are added to the portfolio and Tesi’s expertise and customer portfolio in the industrial sector grow significantly.
Tesi inaugurates in June 2006 a new and functional headquarters. The building, designed and built with a modern structure of glass and aluminum, includes all the operating divisions of the company, spread over three floors.

2008-to date – People with business experience and deep knowledge of retail and B2B processes, which implement the professional skills of the company, are strategically placed in the staff. This allows further growth of the company, with great success on large projects and also with the significant expansion of its customers, both in the “historic” retail market and in industial market. Aiming to develop solutions closer to customer needs, the group launched in 2009 a new range of software applications in the SaaS (Software as a Service) mode. In 2010 the workforce grew further with new expertise in the field of transportation and retail and today Tesi employs approximately 172 people.
