TC1 - Tesi Collaboration One

Tesi Collaboration One
The sector chain portal in “cloud collaboration”

TC1 GDO (Tesi Collaboration One for Distribution) is the first sector chain portal active in Europe that allows an extended collaborative approach among the different players of the Retail sector. The target is that of creating efficiency and value, reducing costs and improving the service offered to the end customer, through real-time exchange and share of information and documents.

TC1 is available through a centralized web-based platform, without requiring any installation and allows to connect and integrate the various actors in the same sector according to a “many to many” logic.

The structure of the solution allows both to centralize all of the functions on the web portal and to extend the means of access - thanks to a multi-channel communication - through SMS, Dynamic PDF, structured e-mail, ERP data exchange, web-EDI, call center, etc., ensuring simplicity and directness of communication to any operator.

Active processes: booking...but not only

TC1 was born as a unique platform able to centralize different collaborative processes to meet the needs of industry players; services nowadays active are the following:

  • Dynamic booking of unloading slots: is based on the logic of dynamic online booking, which allows operators of the distribution chain (manufacturers, logistics operators and carriers) to reserve the unloading spaces - via web, SMS or call center - in a time slot, compatible with planned workloads of the distribution platform (peaks and seasonality), while controlling the most important KPI (punctuality, waiting time at the unload and others) and favoring a substantial reduction in queues and waiting for unloading operations.
  • Change of delivery date: through a workflow approval process, it allows to make the date change and track the process, managing the re-dating causes for statistical purposes and to be informed by operational alert. It is furthermore possible to monitor the date changes and to check the requests forwarded by the producer and the transporter in order to make analysis.
  • Delivery anomalies: it allows to track the anomalies related to delivery with the statements of results by the distributor; it is also possible to have real-time visibility of problems and the notifications “by exception” allow more efficient management and timely implementation of troubles.
  • Shipments tracking: the producer can manage the complete and centralized tracking of their shipments (both to depots and to points of sale) and of related outcomes. The functionality uses a single database, which enables the control and analysis of KPI and service levels. It also allows to manage stock anomalies, following provisions, returns, redelivery and goods deviation in collaborative mode. Multi-channel communication (flow integration, carrier portal, SMS ...) facilitates to retrieve the delivery outcome.

TC1 has long been active in the consumer electronics industry. In close collaboration with Ediel, Tesi has started over the past years the service of EDI and Legal Storage Compliance (powered by e-Integration) and subsequently that of Deliveries Booking (powered by Net Mover).

The medium-term perspective is to work hard to extend the collaboration to other areas, both in terms of industry and processes, developing new projects aimed to simplify the daily operations of businesses and increase efficiency.
